Bob Lingo waits for Down Royal Grade 1

15 Oct 2012
Down Royal's JNwine.com Champion Chase in less than 3 weeks is now on the cards for Galway Plate winner Bob Lingo after the top-weights withdrawal from the Ladbrokes Munster National at Limerick.

Tom Mullins, who trains Bob Lingo, said: "He would have had to give a lot of weight to a lot of them and we felt there was probably a nicer race down the line. If he holds his form then Down Royal is definitely an option.

It's a bit of a step up, but on a mark of 151 he is getting into those ratings and with only a few runners it might be more suitable for his style of racing than going around Limerick in a competitive handicap.”
