Down Royal Festival Winner Morning Run Aims To Continue Her Winning Form!

2 Dec 2014
MORNING RUN extended her unbeaten run to five with an imperious victory in the European Breeders Fund Lough Construction Ltd. Mares Novice Hurdle (Grade 3) on Day 1 of the NI Festival of Racing on 31st October.
The Willie Mullins-trained daughter of King's Theatre dominated the race and jumped beautifully, Mullins said after the Down Royal race: "She's improving all the time, and while she was a bit novicey at the last she's very slick to jump. We'll keep upping her in grade and will look for a Grade 2 next. We'll keep her in mares' company for the moment."
The mare must be going better than expected as she will now aim to maintain her unbeaten record in the Grade 1 Paddy Power Future Champions Novice Hurdle at the Leopardstown Christmas Festival.
