DOWN ROYAL (Friday, September 11)

THE best is saved until last at Down Royal on Friday evening as the Download the New At The Races App Ulster Cesarewitch Handicap (7.05) concludes a seven-race Flat card. The field of 11 is headed by Grecian Tiger, trained by Dermot Weld who won the race last year with Notable Graduate, but the likely favourite is Whiteout from the Willie Mullins stable. She was a recent winner over hurdles at Bellewstown and Declan McDonogh has been booked to ride. The most prize-money on offer is for the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Auction Maiden (4.35), worth €15,000, and, fresh from a winner at Galway earlier in the week, Ross O'Sullivan will be hoping his hot streak can continue with Zeb's Fantasy who has been placed on all three of her starts to date. The action at Down Royal begins at 4.00 and the going is good.
